Frances Weems, 66, of Greeneville died Tuesday at her home.
She was a member of Tate Chapel United Methodist Church.
The family stated that Mrs. Weems was a "mother to many."
Survivors include her "life partner": Jimmy Whiteside of Greeneville; two daughters and sons-in-law: Sonja and Brian Wheeler of Fort Myers, Fla., and Temple and Rodney Bennett of Athens, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law: James Whiteside Jr. and his wife Cassandra Whiteside of Fort Myers, Fla.; six grandchildren: Paris Wheeler and Bryson Wheeler, both of Fort Myers, Colby Bennett and Logan Bennett, both of Athens, Sade Whiteside of Florida, and Taja Whiteside of Greeneville; her mother: Bea Arnett of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Dale and Debra Arnett of Kingsport, and Robert and Missy Arnett of Knoxville; one sister and brother-in-law: Darlynn and Larry McCrae of Bel Air, Md. ; several special nieces and nephews; and a special great-nephew: Isaiah Alexander.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Leslie Weems.
Interment will be in Houston Chapel Cemetery.
