Charles "Charlie" Carter, 62, of Baileyton, died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include a daughter: Cecilia Carter of Kingsport; a granddaughter: Madison Carter; a grandson: Brayden Carter; two stepdaughters: Christy Jennings and Jessica Wines; two stepsons: Dewayne Wines and Bobby Wines; two sisters: Frances Henry of Gate City, Va., and Eula Necessary of Greeneville; a brother: Paul Carter of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin: John R. Carter; and his special friends: Mark Hughes and Claude Richards.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Ethel Carter, and four brothers: J.C. Carter, Sam Carter, Harlen Carter, and Claude Carter.
The family will receive friends from noon- 2 p.m. Saturday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Bradshaw will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Necessary, Terry Necessary, Sam Carter, Brian Henry, Anthony Henry, and Billy Carter.
