Edith Louise Goode, age 80, of Greeneville, passed away at the home of her daughter Friday, February 19, 2010. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Jeffers Funeral Chapel with Brother Shane Hoover and Brother Gordon Ricketts officiating. Interment will follow in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Son-in-law. She was survived by 4 Daughters and 1 Son-in-law: Jeanette Cox, Katherine and Larry Manuel, Barbara Bowen, Wanda Davis all of Greeneville; 15 Grandchildren Michael Goode, Wayne Goode, Shane Goode, Shonate Goode, Ieisha Goode , Chasity Sams, Heather and Bridgette Cox, Tessa Woods of Parrottsville, Larry Manuel Jr. , Shandi Hill of Russellville, Mahia Releford, Christopher and Jamiel Davis , Valenzia Gudger all of Greeneville; 33 Great Grandchildren 2 of which she helped raise; Brittany and Majora Davis; 3 Great Great Grandchildren: Zaria Davis of Greeneville; Davion Sanchez of Elizabethton; 1 Brother: Richard Shipe of Knoxville; 4 Sisters: Elizabeth Blevins, Helen and Glenn Roberts all of Morristown, JoAnn and Lafayette McDonald of Louisville Kentucky, Geraldine Miller of Greeneville; and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband: James Goode; Parents: Abe and Margie Shipe, Brothers Matthew Shipe, J. L. Shipe, Abie Shipe, sisters Mary Jackson, Bernice Shipe, Hazel Brown, Infant sister: Genice Shipe. Mrs. Goode attended Church of Christ as long as her health permitted; She strongly believed in the Lord. She loved her family deeply and will be sadly missed. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 – 1pm at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service preceding the funeral service.
