Obituary:
Mr. Pitt was previously employed at BTL and also worked as a self-employed carpenter for several years. He was a son of Frances Pitt and the late Clarence "Broadie" Pitt. Survivors include his wife: Lorie Hunt Pitt; one son: Freddie Pitt; one daughter and son-in-law: Shannon and Eric Boyd; three grandchildren: Kaleb Pitt, Micah Davis, and Baylee Pitt; two stepgrandchildren: Ethan Boyd and Emma Boyd; four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Vickie Mullins, Patti and Johnny Starnes, Cindy and Everette Dixon, and Bobby and Tammy "Jo Jo" Dunn; his special nieces: Tracie Jones, Kellie Mullins Shelton, Jennifer King, Chasity-Dixon Cogdell, Casey Brown, and Holli Dunn Gregg; his special nephews: Jon Couiston and Logan Starnes; several great-nieces and great-nephews; his special uncles and aunts: Jack and Joann Light, Billy Fred Cutshaw, Carolyn Walker, Freddie and Cathryn Franklin, Harry and Anne Cochran, Robert Pitt, Bill Russell, Frances Waddell, Dorothy Pitt, and Raymond and Betty Jones; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dave and Joyce Harrison; and several special friends: Rodney and Shena Evans, Vann Johnson, Willie Collins, Mike Finkle, Clifford Early, Ron Blevins, Dewayne Acker, Bryan Carver, Danny Pickering, Neil Campbell, and Randy Bolinger. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother: Freddie Andrew Pitt. Mr. Pitt had a special buddy, a poodle named Saddie Pitt. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service. The funeral service will be held following visitation today at 7 p.m. in Jeffers Funeral Service. The Rev. Ronnie Baxter will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
