Victor Singleton, age 59, of Afton, passed away Saturday Morning at His Home. Funeral Service 2:00PM Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in Jeffers Funeral Chapel. Interment Hermon Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Morrison officating. Visitation 2-4 & 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service. Pallbearers will be Jeff Mitchell, Tim Maden, Landon Maden, Noah Maden, Erik Anderson, Michael Braswell Survived by his wife of 24 years: Sandra Mitchell Singleton; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jesse and Amy Hopson of Johnson City, and Joe Singleton of Afton; one grandson: Alex Hopson of Johnson City; one brother: Vincent Singleton of Johnson City; two sisters: Vanessa Haskins of Kingsport, and Ginny Hagy of Bristol, VA; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jeff and Carolyn Mitchell of Afton; two special aunts: Phyllis King of Dayton, Ohio, and Carol Hollar of Knoxville; His best friend and “golfing buddy”: Tim Maden. Preceded in death by his Mother: Faith Kincer Singleton and sister: Deborah Kay Singleton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Air Force Academy Class of 1973; Members of Horse Creek Church of God; Smoky Mountain Hospice. Mr. Singleton was a member of Horse Creek Church of God. He was born November 30, 1950 in Lynch, Kentucky. A 1973 Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Most recently he had worked as a Quality Assurance Manager. According to his family he was a Gentle, Kind, and Loving man, who was always willing and ready to help someone in need.
