Obituary:
Dicy Broyles, 88, of Limestone, died Saturday in Raleigh, N.C., where she had lived with a daughter following a hip injury in 2007. Mrs. Broyles was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in Limestone. She was a longtime correspondent to The Greeneville Sun, writing the Limestone community news for approximately 25 years. Mrs. Broyles was the widow of Marion Lee Broyles Survivors include five children and their spouses: Edward Broyles of Merritt Island, Fla., Johnny "Butch" Broyles and Marian and the Rev. David Reece, all of Limestone, and twins Billy Wayne Broyles of Limestone, and Becky Jane and Danny Reece of Raleigh; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grand children; 12 great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law: Harvey and Madge Crain of the Bowmantown community; and a sister: Edna Vest of Jonesboro, Ind. She was preceded in death by two sisters: E. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning in Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City. The Rev. David Reece will officiate. Pallbearers will be Robert Broyles, Kiah Reece, Joshua Broyles, Johnathon Brown, John Cole, and Kevin Mooney.
