James Edward Beamer Sr., 66, Greeneville, died Monday at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport.
Mr. Beamer organized the Christian fellowship at Plaza Towers. He also enjoyed fishing.
He was the widower of Janice Beamer.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: James Edward Beamer II and his wife, Amanda (Colyer) Beamer, of the Camp Creek community; two daughters: Tammy Peters of Limestone and Samantha Beamer of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren: Debra Dianne Beamer and Jacob Daniel Beamer; a sister and brother-in-law: Mitzi and David Gray of Afton; a special nephew: Wesley Gray; and a special friend: Linda Bowman.
He was a son of the late Willard and Clara Beamer and was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Lynn Beamer.
A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Oak Dale Church Cemetery.
Family and friends will meet at 11:30 Wednesday morning at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service to travel in procession to the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Steven McKay and Wesley Gray.
