Arthur L. Fessler Jr. Obituary (1935 - 2022)

Arthur (Art) L. Fessler, Jr., age 86 years old, and a native of Ohio. Art lived a very full life though his health had recently declined, and he passed away peacefully on April 22, 2022. He was born on June 6, 1935 to the late Arthur Lewis and Eva Mae Decker Fessler. Art was predeceased by his wife Janet, his four brothers, one sister, and one son, Arthur Lewis Fessler, III. He is survived by his children, Deneise Shepherd (Kaylon), Mark Fessler, his two step-daughters, Clara Fox (Fred), and Opal Myatt (David). Art also had nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Art was blessed by his special caregivers and many other loving family members and friends. Art proudly served in the US Air Force and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron, Ohio. His lifelong hobbies included his love for automobiles, woodworking, collecting guns, The Lions Club Turkey Shoots, and at the end of the day you could often find him sharing a cold one with family and friends. He lived the majority of his life in the Akron/Canton, Ohio area and in his later years he resided in Greeneville, Tennessee with his daughter. Per Art’s wishes, the celebration of his life will be at a private family service at a later date.
