Ashlin Austin Wills, aged 49, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026. She was born on January 7, 1977.
Ashlin was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, companion, and friend. She loved her family dearly and especially treasured the time spent with her daughters and granddaughters.
Ashlin loved to sing, and music brought her great joy. One of her daughters’ favorite memories is riding in the car together, singing “Back at One” by Mark Wills. It is a simple but treasured memory that will forever remind them of their mother and the special moments they shared. Ashlin also had a special love for butterflies, and for those she leaves behind, the sight of a butterfly will now carry an even deeper meaning, a gentle reminder of Ashlin, the love she gave, and the beautiful memories that will keep her close in their hearts.
Ashlin was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Wills, and other beloved family members who went on before her.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother and stepfather, Pat and Hal Connard of Greeneville TN; her two daughters, Lasha Suggs (Nathan) of Bybee, TN, and Rayann Brown (Christopher) of Mount Holly, NC; and her three beloved granddaughters, Natalynn Suggs, Shalee Suggs, and Charlotte “Abbie” Brown.
She is also survived by her sister, Candace McClure (Josh); her nieces, Sandy McClure and Kaydace McClure; great niece Oakley Simmons; her special friend, Paul McCray, and his mother, Judy Hodges; as well as several aunts and uncles, a multitude of cousins, extended family members, and many friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Thursday preceding the funeral service. The service will be conducted by Evangelist Biskey Wheeler. Graveside services will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, where Ashlin will be laid to rest.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul McCray, Ray Stuart, Tony Stuart, John Stuart, Jeff Stuart, Jason Stuart, and Jimmy Hilton. Biskey Wheeler and Russell Chandler will serve as honorary pallbearers.
While Ashlin’s passing leaves a sorrow that words cannot express, her family finds comfort in God’s love and in the hope of being reunited again someday. Perhaps when a familiar song plays or a butterfly gently passes by, those who loved her will be reminded that beautiful memories never truly leave us.
Ashlin will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held close in the hearts of her family and friends.
