Barbara Saulsbury. One of the most beautiful souls left this world unexpectedly at her home on November 18th, 2023 at the age of 76. She was one of the most caring people in the world. She loved her family and friends fiercely and was loyal to those around her. She never put herself first and was always taking care of others. Barbara was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Everyone she met loved her. She had a smile that would light up a room and her laugh was contagious.\nShe worked at George C. Moore for a number of years and then was a stay-at-home mother. She worked for a number of years with the genealogy society at the Greeneville library.\nBarbara is survived by her daughter Kristie Sampson, her son-in-law Keith Sampson, her grandson Hayden Sampson whom she loved so deeply, aunt Esther Drew, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Paul Harris, and special niece, who was like a daughter to her, Rachel Stanton and her children Hannah and Ashlie Holloway.\n\nBarbara was preceded in death by her husband Jackie Saulsbury and children Roy Saulsbury and Barbi Saulsbury, mother Queen Ramsey and father Roy Ramsey, brother and sister-in-law Cecil and Juanita Ramsey, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Vivian Ramsey, sister Rose Ramsey, closest to her as they traveled together for many years brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jimmy and Sue Branch.\nShe is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. She deeply loved all of her family.\n\nPallbearers will be Hayden Sampson, Keith Sampson, Jeff Ramsey, Brian Ramsey, Mason Ramsey, Lynn Hope.\nHonorary pallbearers will be Paul Harris and Dr. Tyler Bailey. \n\nThe family will receive friends from 5-7pm Tuesday November 21, 2023 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the graveside service to follow in GraceLand Memorial Gardens with Rev. David Dugger officiating.
