Betty Lou Smith, 65, of Pates Hill Road, Mosheim, passed way Friday afternoon, September 6, 2019 at Greeneville Community Hospital East. \n \nShe put her faith in God and loved her family and friends. \n \nShe is survived by her 2 daughters and a son-in-law: Charlotte Grant and Scott, whom she loved like a son, Becky Harvey and husband of CA; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law: David Roller, and Joey Roller and wife of Las Vegas; several grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Lavada and Danny Knight, whom she lived with and were her caregivers, and Mary and Amos Hensley; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law: Alvin and Bonnie Metcalf, Rev. Hubert Metcalf and Doris, Ralph and Jackie Metcalf, Carl and Cindy Metcalf; sister-in-law: Jimmie Metcalf of Memphis; 2 special friends: Sheila Williams and Randy Smith.\n \nShe was preceded in death by her husband: Jay Smith; parents: Joe and Mucie Shelton Metcalf; 2 brothers: Gene and Lyle Metcalf.\n \nAt her request, her body will be cremated. The family will receive friends Monday, September 9, 2019 from 3-4PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The memorial service will follow visitation at 4PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Melton officiating.
