Gaye Keith, 84, of the Tusculum Community, passed away May 28, 2022 at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation, Chuckey. A retired Cosmetologist, she enjoyed being outdoors, fitness walking, and music. She was an active member and a pianist at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Oak Grove Road, until the New Church was constructed.\n\nSurvivors include a brother, Lt.Col.Wayne Thompson (Becky) of Fairfax, VA; A sister, Dr. Brenda Gulledge (Willie), of Greeneville; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Earl and Lillian Keith of Knoxville; sisters-in-law; Betty Lamb, Norma Smith of Kingsport, and Josephine Keith of Greeneville; cousins: Bob Townsend and Jimmy (Linda) Townsend; several nieces and nephews; a devoted nephew: Gary Lamb of San Francisco, CA; dear friends: Mary Sue Brakebill, Shirley Keys Broyles, Elwanda Carpenter, Kenneth & Connie Lamb, and Mary Ellen Southerland.\n\nShe was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 52 years, Charles L."Bruce" Keith; a son; Gary Kim Wilhoit; parents, Corrum D. and Andy B. (Townsend) Thompson; father-in-law and mother-in-law: William and Mary Keith brothers-in-law: Claude Keith, Bill Keith, and Harold Keith; and a nephew Chris Smith; and her beloved Siamese Cat: Charlie.\n\nA Graveside service will be held at 10 am Thursday at Oak Grove Cemetery at Tusculum, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 am. The Rev. Roy Fowler will officiate.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Greeneville and Greene County P.O.
