Brenda Bowers

Brenda Bowers age 82 of the Rheatown community passed away at the Greeneville Community Hospital Wednesday morning December 11, 2024. She attended Crossroads Church and her and her late husband Ralph Bowers operated Meadow Vista Dairy Farm for 39 years. For 13 years they hosted 'Kids Day On The Farm', after the dairy farm years, she managed the beef cattle farm up until her passing. She is survived by her granddaughter and grandson-in-law Tara and Steven Huff, 2 great grandchildren Denver Huff and EllaKate Huff, 2 nephews Doug and Teresa Shipley and Mike and Debbie Shipley, several great nieces/nephews and brothers-in-law/sisters-in-law. Also special friends and neighbors Scottie and Shelly Jennings and Robert and Marsha Rodgers. She was preceded in death in addition to her husband, son Randy Bowers, parents Ardell and Opal Babb, sister and brother-in-law Winifred and Charles Shipley. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Friday December 13, 2024 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Bowers officiating. The burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steven Huff, Denver Huff, Robert Rodgers, Scottie Jennings, Robert Wilhoit, Doug Shipley, and Mike Shipley.
