Charles Jeffers

Charles Jeffers age 80 of Greeneville passed away Sunday March 31, 2024 at Franklin Woods Medical Center. He was a member of Doty's Chapel Church. He retired from the Greeneville Police Dept. after 37 years of law enforcement service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #692, a fifty year member of the Mosheim Masonic Lodge #463, Tennessee Sheriffs Association, Southern States Police Benevolent Association, and the Jericho Shrine. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Mary Jo Jeffers, daughter Andrea Hill (John Ridinger), grandchildren Rebecca Jeffers, Melanie Jeffers, Mason Hill (Madison Marion), great granddaughter Adira Lambert, brother and sister-in-law Don and Doris Jeffers, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Judy and Derrick Kitzmiller, niece and nephews Amanda and David Whittiker, Keith Jeffers, Tommy Jeffers, great nephew Kristopher Hilton. He was preceded in death by his wife Gail Davis Jeffers, parents Robert and Leda Mae Jeffers, brother Carroll Jeffers, niece Whitney Lowe. The family will receive friends from 4-8pm Wednesday April 3, 2024 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be at 10am Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Kevin Morrison and Chaplain Danny Ricker officiating. The burial will follow in GraceLand Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lewis Shipley, John Jones, Charles Kinser, Charles Morelock, Earl Mysinger, and Terry Cannon. Honorary pallbearers will be the Greeneville Police Dept.
