Charles Patterson

Charles Edward Patterson age 84 of Greeneville passed away early Saturday morning August 8, 2026. Charlie was born, July 23, 1942, the oldest son of Harmon Patterson and Mamie Patterson Isley of the Romeo Community. He was a veteran of the armed forces, serving in the National Guard. Charlie spent most of his life working in construction and for many years he worked alongside his brother Dale, building houses in Greene County.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Elizabeth Patterson, and his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Charlie Gentry. Two nephews; Jeff Patterson and wife Paula and Gary Hilton. Two nieces; Chassity Gipson and husband Billy, and Trish Fletcher and husband Tim. An uncle, Edward Patterson and several great nieces and nephews. Special friends; Fred Carter, George Carroll, William Carter, and Steve Burns.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, sister Lela Fox, four infant brothers, and nephews; Larry Hilton, Danny Hilton, and Michael Patterson.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Wednesday August 12, 2026 at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 7pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Collins officiating. The graveside service will be Thursday at 11 am in Prices Cemetery at Romeo with the Greene County Honor Guard conveying military honors. It is requested that family and friends meet at 10am Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Patterson, Brodie Patterson, Brandon Seay, Billy Gipson, Fred Carter, and Jamie Westmoreland.
