Charlsie Parks Freshour age 92 passed away peacefully Saturday January 28, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Magnavox after 35 years. After retirement she was volunteer at Laughlin Memorial Hospital for many years. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Randy and Virginia Freshour, grandson Justin Freshour, 2 sisters-in-law Jeannine Parks and Treva Parks, several nieces and nephews, cousin Judy Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Hugh and Fannie Kate Parks, grandparents Jim and Penelope "Nep" Trantham, grandson Cody Freshour, 2 brothers Buryl Parks and Carroll Parks, and a sister Maxine Laughlin. The family will receive friends from 12-1:30pm Saturday at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The graveside service will follow at 2pm Saturday in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Sunnyside with Pastor Brad Higgins officiating. Pallbearers will be Doug Parks, Charles Parks, David Ward, Mike Barham, John Burgess, and JD Davenport. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expense.
