David Jennings

David Sampson Jennings age 62 of Chuckey passed away Thursday April 20, 2023, at the Johnson City Medical Center.

David loved eating at Waffle House and listening to bluegrass music.

He is survived by his son Luke Emery Jennings (Elizabeth), daughter Jackie Marie Jennings (fiancé Shane Cherry). Grandchildren, Gabriel, WIlliam, Rylee, and Emalee Jennings, Andrew and Bryce Cherry. Four Sisters and brothers-in-law, Naomi and Harley Greene, Becky and Bobby Young, Denise Pickering, and Lois Jones. One brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Betty Jennings. Several nieces and nephews. The mother of his children, Felita Reed. Special friend Kevin Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Margaret Jennings. Brother, Eddie Jennings. Grandson, Jackson Jennings. Four half-sisters, and two half-brothers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 1-3 and 5-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ed Thomas and Rev. Harley Greene officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul, Daniel, Adam and Sam Jennings, James Young, and Shane Cherry.
