Donnie Mildred Jennings, 78, of Greeneville, passed away Friday afternoon April 28, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center.\n\nShe was a caring friend and loved her family very much. She loved to talk to people and help others. She was well known for her yard work, and she loved to care for her flowers. She was also a proud member of Mt Tabor UM Church.\n\nShe is survived by 2 children: Phillip Jennings and wife Karla, and Jackie and Larry Johnson; 3 grandchildren: Special grandson, Phillip Jennings Jr. and wife Kayla, Kristi Allen and husband Brynnan, and Zackary Johnson; 1 step grandchild Tony Bowman; 2 great grandchildren: Harper Allen and Haven Allen; 2 step great grandchildren: Anna Jaynes and Kelsie Hale; 1 sister: Shirley Robison; and 2 brothers: Ralph Greene and wife Shirley; and Sidney Greene; Several nieces and nephews.\n\nShe was preceded in death by her daughter: Donnie Marie Jennings, her parents: Sam and Edith Greene; Brothers: Robert (Bob) Greene; John Larry Greene; Sister: Sally Norton, and a special niece: Jennifer Greene.\n\nThe family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be at 4pm Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Laughlin officiating. The graveside service will follow in Shiloh CP Cemetery. Pallbearers include Spencer Mathes, Allen Day, Brian McAmis, Victor Jennings, Willis Shivers, Darryl Brauss, Jack Finchum, and Ben Butler. Honorary pallbearers include many special friends and family members.
