Dorothy Hawk

Dorothy “Dot” Hawk, 89, of Greeneville, passed away Thursday, March 30, at
her home following a few months of declining health.
Dot retired from Belk Department Store where she worked for more than 30
years in the children’s department.
She is survived by one daughter: Sharon Hawk of Greeneville; sister and brother:
Margaret Ayers and Don Southerland both of Chuckey; several cousins including
a special cousin, “Wimp” Southerland of Caney Branch; a special nephew and his
wife: Tim and Karen Hawk; and special neighbors: Barbara, Summer, Terry and
Garland.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Hawk; daughter: Debbie Hawk
Beeler; parents: Walter “Buck” and Hassie Franklin Southerland; and brothers:
Clyde Southerland and Lloyd Southerland.
There will be no formal visitation. The graveside service will take place Wednesday April 12, 2023 at 2pm at Shelton Chapel cemetery on Popular Springs Road.
