Doug Fortner, 76 of Greeneville, passed away Monday, April 3 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was a retired truck driver.\n\nHe is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Mattie Reynolds; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Fortner; Aunt, Patty Fortner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Michael Bernard, Robert Reynolds, Mike and Janet Reynolds; nieces and nephews, Jason Armstrong and family, Heather Brashears and family, Adrianne Reynolds; several cousins; his many neighbors including Moe Arrington, Cindy and Richard Delinshi, and Tori Frye.\n\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Frances Fortner; several aunts and uncles.\n\nThe graveside service will be Wednesday at 1pm at Riverhill Cemetery with Rev. John Burgess officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at Jeffers Funeral Services downtown at 12:00pm to go in procession to the cemetery.\n\nPallbearers will include family and friends. \n\nJeffers Funeral and Cremation Services are in charge of the arrangements.
