Dwayne “Wormy” Dykes, 55, of the Jearoldstown Community, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. He was a truck driver with Tommy’s Paving.\n \nHe is survived by his wife of 25 years: Charmin Dykes, 6 daughters: Sara & Jacob Painter of Jonesborough, Haley & Daniel Dickens of Virginia, Destiny Dykes & Troy Dotson of Jearoldstown, Michelle & Steven Smith of Kingsport, Kelly Whitehead of Greeneville, and Kassie Whitehead of Kingsport; father: Norman Dykes of Unicoi; 15 grandchildren; sisters: Charlotte & Steve Franklin, Trish & Randy Shipley, Lori King, and Ruby Bryant.\n \nHe was preceded in death by his mother: Margaret Gross; brother: Leonard Boatwright.\n \nThe funeral service will be Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 3PM, with the Pastor Jeffery “Bo” Barnes officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the 3PM service.
