Elizabeth Britton

Elizabeth Joanna Britton age 87 of Lost Mountain Community passed away at her home September 7, 2026. She came to know the Lord when she was a young age and raised her children in church. She attended Friendship Free Will Baptist Church and Pyburn Free Will Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren including her great grandsons Jaylan and Easton, and checking cattle with Roger on the side by side on the farm. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Dr. Saprina Fender. She is survived by her children David and Barbara Britton, Karen and Hartsell "Hall" Cutshall, Mary and Dwayne Rector, Barbara Cole Britton, Roger Britton, daughter-in-law Lisa Britton, grandchildren Miranda and Isaac Roberts, Keith and Misty Hipsher, Cayden Cutshall, Catelynn and Micah McAmis, Haley Cutshall, Grace Britton, Noah Britton, Brandon Hall, James and Kesha Rector, Geordyn and Dakota Williams, Kevin Cole, great grandchildren Brook Hipsher, Dylan Hipsher, Katelyn Gibbs, Hunter Swift, Keana Roberts, Veronica Cutshall, Mia McAmis, Colton, Jaylan Cutshall, Easton Rector, sister-in-law Linda Swatzell, brother-in-law Bobby Britton, nieces Charlotte Seaton and Joyce Gaddis, and her church family and many special neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Britton, son Charles Britton, parents Charles and Stella Depew, brothers Charles Jr., Eugene, Jimmy, Dean, and Buck Depew. The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm and 6-8 pm Wednesday September 9, 2026 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be Thursday at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jonathon Jones and Rev. Bob Simpson officiating. The burial will follow in Doty's Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Hall, Kevin Cole, James Rector, Noah Britton, David Buchanan, and Isaac Roberts.
