Elizabeth Snapp Gross, 74, of Chuckey, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home.\n \nLibby attended Abounding Grace Baptist Church. She was a transcriptionist at Johnson City Medical Center for 35 years.\n \nShe is survived by her husband of 26 years: Jake Gross; 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Deadra and Randall Salts of Jonesborough, and Lisa and Ricky Crain of Jonesborough; step-son: Daniel and Lisa Gross; 4 grandchildren: Dustin and Brittany Moore, Dalton Moore, Katelyn Salts, Colton Crain; step-grandchildren: Hanna Gross, Luke Timbs, and Steven Timbs; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Debbie Snapp of Greeneville, Quinton Snapp of Chuckey; sister and brother-in-law: Nancy and Robert Helbert; several nieces and nephews.\n \nShe was preceded in death by her parents: William “Bill” and Mattie Lou Snapp.\n \nThe family will receive friends Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be held Monday, at 2PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin Morris and Deacon Wayne Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
