Ellis Ira Crawford, Jr., passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Durham Hensley Health and Rehab. Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the US Army, and was retired from American Greetings. He is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons in law, Jackie Duggan, Nicole and Chris Stubblefield, Tammy and Michael Byassee; 2 sons, Joey Crawford, Dustin Crawford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 4 sisters and a brother in law, Alice and Benny Mullins, Virginia Crawford, Janice Ewing, and Judy Crawford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Crawford; parents, Ellis and Edith Crawford; son, Timothy Crawford; sister, Barbara Jackson; brother, Jack Crawford. The family will receive friends Friday, June 22, 2018 from 4-7pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Afton. Pastor Dean Matchett will officiate the graveside service at 10 am in Zion Cemetery at Baileyton. Family and Friends will meet at the cemetery Saturday for the graveside service. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct the military graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
