Ernie "Slim" Gilland

Ernie "Slim" Gilland, 68, of Round Knob Road, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at his residence. He is survived by: Sisters and brothers-in-law: Imogene Parkins, Retha and Gary Kline, Elvie Cutshaw of Greeneville and Floella Dean of Morristown; Brothers and sisters-in law: Kermit and Sherry Gilland, Daniel and Brandi Gilland, Bud, Dean, and Buster Gilland; Brother-in-law: Frank Gunter; Nieces and nephews; Three uncles and one aunt. Special friends: Alvie and Bonnie Metcalf. He is preceded in death by: Parents: Mavil and Dorothy Gilland; A brother: Larry Gilland. Mr. Gilland retired from the Forestry Service. He loved to work in the yard and in the woods. He loved his family.
