Garland Burt Wright, age 85, of Greeneville went to be with Jesus on Friday April 15, 2022 at Greeneville Community Hospital. He was a longtime coal miner and recently employed by Food City. He loved the Lord, his children, and grandchildren. \n\nHe is survived by his wife of 25yrs Judy Wright, 3 sons and daughters-in-law Gary Wright and fiance Shannon Johnson, Jamey and Jessie Hite, Ben and Amanda Hite, grandchildren Chance Morgan, Caleb Wright, Liam Johnson, Jaxson Hite, Corbin Hite, Neyland Hite, sister Irene Robinette, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jim and Betty Burkey, Bob and Beth Burkey, Bill and Crickett Burkey, several nieces and nephews, special friend Lloyd Ward (Whom he loved to Ginseng with). \n\n He was preceded in death by his parents Emory and Sally Wright, grandson Emmett Hite, several brothers and sisters. \n\nThe family will receive friends 2-4 pm Wednesday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton with a graveside service to follow at 4:30 pm Wednesday in Shiloh CP Cemetery with his brother-in-law Bob Burkey officiating.\n\nIn lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
