\nOrla "Hilda" Shelton, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 19th.\n\nShe was the 7th of 9 children born to the late Kelly B. & Minnie Delova Woody Shelton.\n\nShe retired from Magnavox/Phillips where she worked for over 40 years. After retirement, she worked as a volunteer in the gift shop of Laughlin Memorial Hospital/Ballad for over 20 years. She was a member of the Glendale Community Club and also worked as a judge at the voting polls during elections at Doak Elementary School. She was a founding member of Victory Church of God.\n\nShe leaves behind her children and their spouses, Gary Shelton, Rick & Ann Shelton, & Kim & Tony Ottinger; grandchildren, Brian Berryhill, Chasity Bredbenner, Garrett Shelton, Jessica Bowman, Trandon Ottinger, & Josh Davis; great-grandchildren, Brooke Berryhill, Brandt Berryhill, Gavin Shelton, Molly Bredbenner, Jayce & Maylee Bowman, Paxton Ottinger, & Adalynn & Hadleigh Davis.\n\nShe is survived by her sister, Glen Ertzberger of Asheville, NC, a special niece, Pam Ertzberger also of Asheville, NC, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Special friends of the family, Ann Hixson, Patty Tilson, Martha Willett, & other friends from the community\n\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, Merrill; daughter, Sandra Honaker; an infant son; brothers & sisters, Delora Stidham, Roy Shelton, Hazel Dellinger, Jessie Shelton, Dove Shelton, Richard Shelton, & Lois Shelton.\n\nThe family wishes to thank Maxim, Ashley, UT Hospice, & her special caregivers, Lisa Moore & Elsie Johnson.\n\nPallbearers will be her grandsons & nephews.\n\nFriends may call upon the home of Tony & Kim Ottinger.\n\nThe family will receive friends from 2-4 & 5-7 pm Friday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow at 7pm Friday in the chapel with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating. The graveside service will be at 11 am Saturday in Horse Creek Church of God Cemetery. The family and friends are ask to meet at the funeral home at 10:15am Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
