James Nye

James Paul "JP" Nye passed away at his home on October 13th. JP was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a native of Greene County and a member of First Baptist Church . He is the son of the late Paul "Cow Daddy" and Nellie Ruth Nye. He is survived by his two sons Matthew and Spencer Nye, and his brother Timothy Nye. His grandson Canaan Nye and special mother-in-law Freida Bible. There will be a graveside service Tuesday October 27, 2026 at 1pm in Mt. Home National Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will convey military honors.
