James Edward "Eddie" Westmoreland

James Edward "Eddie" Westmoreland age 74 of Mosheim passed away Thursday February 20, 2025 at his home. He was US Marine veteran and a truck driver as "Old Crow". He was Baptist by faith. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Jamie and Tammy Westmoreland, grandson Spencer Westmoreland, mother of his son Lois Nelson, 2 sisters and brothers-in-law Elizabeth and Dale Patterson and Patricia and Mike Savage, nieces and nephews, uncle Doyle Westmoreland, ex wife Geneva Westmoreland and her family Mandy, Marshall, and Nathan Tolley and 2 sons, and several cousins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Zonya Cureton, Amie Rice, Tracy Cope, and Jennifer Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Westmoreland, sister Peggy Westmoreland. The family will receive friends from 12-3pm Sunday February 23, 2025 at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The graveside service will be Monday at 1pm in Philippi Cemetery with Rev. Claude Davis officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12 noon Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will convey military honors. Pallbearers will be Cody Smith, Brandon Seay, Dale Patterson, Gary Westmorland, Tracy Cope, James Nelson, and Billy Gipson. Honorary Pallbearers Jeff Patterson and Brodie Patterson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
