James Wilburn, 76 of Greeneville Tn, passed away Monday July 11th, 2022 at his home. He was a loving and devoted husband,father, papaw, great papaw, and soon to have been great great papaw. He had a compassion in his heart and used it to serve his lord and savior, Jesus Christ. James went to little House of prayer. James was a superintendent of Bob Smith construction for 17 years and a superintendent of Wild Builders for 25 years. He will be remembered for his love of God and family and his special companion Sampson (his dog). James was preceded in death by his set of twin infant sons, his mom and dad Nellie and Horace, Helen Harmon, Flora Collins, Mary Hurd,Hazel Waddell, and Three brothers: JB Wilburn, Kenneth Wilburn, and an infant brother.Survivors include: the love of his life Evelyn Wilburn of 60 years, a son whom he loved dearly: Alex Wilburn, a daughter and son in-law Elizabeth and Eric Fillers, 2 grand kids: Misty Marshall and Randy Darnell, 7 great grand kids: Tyler Marshall and his fiance Kyra Davis, Katelynn Marshall,Briley Darnell, Coleson Darnell, Chazean Darnell, Madison Marshall, R.J. Darnell; soon to have a great great grand daughter: Blake Marshall and special friend of the family Teresa Doyle. The family will receive friends Wednesday 1-3 and 5-7pm at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The funeral service will be Thursday 2pm in the funeral home chapel. The graveside service will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery with reverend Dwayne Steele. Pallbearers will be Eric Fillers, Randy Darnell, RJ Darnell, Big Rodney Greene, Little Rodney Greene, and Stephen Van Swaringen.
