In remembrance of Janet Marie Macdonald; May we acknowledge and share both our joy in the gift her life was to us, and the pain that her passing brings.\n \nJanet Marie Macdonald, age 53, passed away at her home on May 22, 2019. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Allen Hills and father Lester T. Hills. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years Mike Macdonald, her daughters Ashley Macdonald and Tawnya Mather and family, her stepchildren Shawn Macdonald and Mandalynn Wenaas and family , her mother Carole Hills, step mother Sandra Hills, her “second mom” Charlotte Wilson and family, four grandsons, along with a host of other family and friends both here in Tennessee and in her home state of California.\n \nShe is known for her love of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR, and never knowing a stranger. She possessed a contagious smile and such an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she won the trust and love of many. Her signature gift of a servant’s heart of gold was evident in the way she cared for and loved patients and residents for 20+ years as a CNA. She spent 18 of those years at Greene Valley Developmental Center, and after its closure continued her career at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Janet was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind such precious memories. Her constant smile, laughter, and joking around will never be forgotten.\n \nThe family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown.
