Janice Norton

Janice Fay Norton, 72, of Greeneville, was reunited with her Lord and her beloved husband in the early morning hours of January 21 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. A loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend, Janice will always be remembered for her generous heart and her strength in any situation.

Janice could often be found in her kitchen, as cooking was her favorite pastime. She was only happy when everyone around her was fed and full, and she made everything with love. Janice also loved reading, watching YouTube, classic cars, flowers and trees, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, anything relating to Scotland, and looking at the mountains she called home.

Janice is survived by her daughters Katherine and Darla Norton, son-in-law Jeremy Kinnick, nieces Sheila and Kimberly Foulks and nephew Duane Foulks, sister-in-law Margaret Norton, and niece Susan Maguire, as well as her neighbors and good friends James Franklin Foulks, Cody Foulks, and Travis Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years J.D. Norton, parents Bill and Mary Walker, sister Kathy Johnson, nephew Michael Norton, and half-sister Cosby Walker.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 27 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Jeffers Funeral Chapel in Afton.
