Jimmie R. "Big Jim" Edwards, 77, of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord on March 11th at Holston Valley Hospital.\nHe was of the Baptist faith and lived a long and fullfilled life. He was an outdoors man and a farmer and worked for Taho America 25+ years. \nSurvivors include, His wife of 48 years Rhonda J. Edwards, His son Jimmie Edwards (Karen) of Baileyton, His daughter Rhonda F. Edwards (Johnny) of Surgoinsville, His grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Edwards, and Shyanne Edwards, His great grandson Jace Edwards, Two special nieces Mary O'Neil and Nicole Norton. Brothers Billy, Freddy, Delmar (Mae), Scotty (Eva). Sisters Cecil Hill, Barbara Roberts, Annlee Ward. Sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws Joann and Allen Babb, Betty and Roger Quillen, Patricia Edwards. Proceded in death by his parents, Lovely and John Edwards, mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary Kate and Garnie Byington. Brothers, Pat, Jackie, and Jay. Sisters, Margret,Jude,Joann, and Nancy.\nPallbearers: James O'Neil, Cody Compton,Andy Stevens,Matthew Norton, Elijah Smith, and Jason Brunelle. Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Tucker, David Franklin, Justin Lawson,Tyler Stroud. The Family will recieve friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service Downtown. The funeral service will be held 2pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Ron Athon officating and the interment to follow in Liberty Hill UM Cemetery.
