Jimmy Taylor age 83 passed away Friday November 25, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a member of The Lords House Church in Chuckey. He retired from Magnavox and just a month ago was working with Food City. He is survived by 5 children including a daughter Jimmie LeeAnn Taylor and a son Ricky Taylor, 6 grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Billy Joe and Brenda Taylor, 2 sisters and brother-in-law Brenda and Ben Milligan and Shirley Starnes, several nieces and nephews, special friends Allen Williams and members of The Lords House Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Mary Ruth Taylor, son John Curtis, daughter Nancy Taylor, 1 grandson. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will be Friday 2pm at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton with Rev. Ken Thacker officiating. The graveside service will follow in Providence Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of The Lords House Church.
