Greeneville, Tennessee
Joseph Everett Loveless of Greeneville, TN went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, October 16th, at Brookdale Assisted Living of Greeneville. He was born in Elizabethon, TN. As a youth, he attended Happy Valley High School in Carter County. He then served in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He was Baptist by faith. He helped with the Bus Ministry at Second Baptist Church of Greeneville, where he drove a church bus. After the church became Towering Oaks Baptist Church, he helped out any way he could. In his later years, he was a member of the Elderly Men's Class and had the role of Secretary and Treasurer.
Joe moved to Greeneville in the early 60's where he took a meat cutter position with Anderson's Grocery Store, later becoming Winn Dixie, where he became the Meat Market manager until he retired in 1999. He worked as a meat cutter for 44 years and had trained many meat cutters in most of the stores in town. In his spare time, he was an extreme handyman and perfectionist at that. He would graciously lend a helping hand to family, neighbors, and friends with any needs. He possessed numerous skills.
Joe loved to boat and fish with family and friends. He enjoyed grilling and cooking with family and friends. He always enjoyed a good football game, be it a Greeneville High Greene Devil game or the UT Volunteers. He was also an avid Nascar fan and a big Atlanta Braves fan.
