Joseph Hollen “Ham” Easter, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Mosheim on November 18, 2023 following a battle with leukemia. Joseph was the owner of Easter Masonry for many years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty; his only living brother, Castle of Virginia; 8 children: Lisa Davis of Greeneville, Melissa (and Anderson) Morgan of Chuckey, Sandra Easter, Pam Easter, Barbara Easter, Mike Easter, Jeff Easter, and Timothy (and Jenny) Easter all of Virginia; 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, a special friend, Helen Berry; and his two beloved dogs, Belle and Abby.\nHe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Tallie\nEaster, his brothers and sisters, and 2 sons: Ronnie Easter and Thomas Kelley.\nThe family will receive friends and family from 1-3 pm on Friday, November\n24, 2023 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The graveside service will follow at\n4 pm at Greenlawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Charles Morgan officiating.\nPallbearers will be: David Davis, Timothy Easter, Mike Easter, Bradley Johnson,\nAndy Morgan, and Jay Owens.
