Justin Guy Southerland, 35, passed away on June 15th, 2019. \n \nJustin was the youngest son of Jay and Pam Southerland. He made special memories with his son, Kaden Michael Southerland, by making him laugh. Justin showed his love for Kaden by many talks about how he could make better choices in life. Justin had a way with his daughter, Riley Rose, she would grin ear to ear when he came near her. He had all kinds of sayings to her. His favorite was, “Stinky butt, stinky butt, I love you.” \n \nIn addition to his immediate family, he is survived by one brother: Jason Robert Southerland; grandfather: Charles Robert “Rob” Bailey; many uncles and aunts including: Pat Southerland, Richard Leroy and Blanche Southerland, Danny and Rita Southerland, Bobby Southerland, Sandra and Keith Johnson, Belinda and Richard Arwood, and John Wesley Bailey; many cousins including: Jeremy Bailey; special girlfriend and mother to his daughter Riley Rose: Danielle Maloney and her parents, Mark and Bonnie Maloney of Massachusetts. \n \nHe is preceded in death by grandparents: Robert Kyle and Julia Lillian Southerland, Betty Jean Bailey,Guy and Virginia Bailey; great grandparents: Jacob and Ellen Southerland and Dave and Agnes Phillips; one uncle: Jimmy Southerland; and one aunt: Lisa Kay Bailey.\n \nJustin was a graduate of Greeneville High School where he made many friends. In his sport of Roller Hockey he made special friends as well. He had his church family at Westview, Ashway, and Grace Fellowship in Tennessee. He moved to South Carolina where he was blessed with a special buddy, Eddie Huff and his wife Pam Huff. Eddie mentored him to become a better man by teaching him plumbing skills and more. John, Denny, and many more friends were Justin’s motivations to do better in life. He had many special cousins that made an impact on him growing up. He had the opportunity to become an employee of I.D. and Mayer of Super Eight in Socatee, South Carolina. Justin made a great impact with his love of doing a great job and was loved by all the staff at the hotel. \n \nPallbearers will be: his brother, Jason Southerland, his son, Kaden Southerland, Miles Kilday, Trevor Southerland, and Kevin Johnson. \n \nHonorary pallbearers are: Eddy Huff, Justin’s employers, I.D. and Mayer at Super 8, special cousins, Pastor Josh Finkela at The Rock Church in Conway, and many friends in Conway. \n \nThe family will receive friends Thursday, June 20th, 2019 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral will be held on Friday, June 21st, 2019 at 2pm at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown with Rev. Jim Bunch Jr. officiating.
