Katherine Sluder

Katherine Louise Sluder age 81 passed away at her home on Saturday May 6, 2023 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 58 yrs Johnny Sluder, a daughter Karen Haire, a son Mark Sluder, one grandson Zachary Haire, one great grandson Mason Haire, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Eddie McCamey, one brother Franklin Thompson, two sisters-in-law Barbara Thompson and Ellen Thompson, and several nieces and nephews and cousins, a friend of the family Tim Haire. She was preceded in death by her parents Woodrow and Lyda Thompson, three brothers Hershel, J.C. and Howard Thompson, two sisters and brothers-in-law Helen and Ed Jennings, Carolyn and Wayne Blazer. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Thursday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow at 4pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dwayne Steele officiating. The graveside service will be following in Graceland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim Haire, Zachary Haire, Eddie McCamey, Mike Dotson, Steve Luttrell, Matthew Luttrell, and Billy Kinkaid.
