John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." \n\nKathryn Marie "Kathy" Laws, age 64, of Greeneville passed away Monday January 30, 2023 at her home. Kathy had strong convictions to her faith, family, and patriotic beliefs. Those of us fortunate enough to have Kathy as part of our lives were exceedingly blessed. She was the best of the best, a truer friend you will never know. As sisters, daughters, and wives we are mere shadows compared to her sisterly, daughterly devotions of love. As being a wife to Paul only he knows the depths of her commitment to him. Kathy was always the most cheerful, happiest person to be around. She was loved by all and loved us all. Her work family was such a joy in her life and the family wishes to thank them each one Susan David, Catie Clement, Vickie Munsey, Leah Cremins, Keri Kirk, Saundra Gilliam, Rachel Jersey, Casey Brown, Dr. Cole Seaton, Dr. Raymond Kohne. She is survived by her husband of 15 years Paul Valentine, cats Sam and Frodo, mother Barbara Jean Laws, step son Joshua Valentine, granddaughter Addison Valentine, 2 sisters and brother-in-law Jeannie and Ronnie Luttrell, Jimmie Laws, brother Sonny Laws, nephew and niece Tyler and Leslie Laws, great nephew TJ Laws. She was preceded in death by her father James H. Laws. There will be a graveside service 2pm Friday in Rheatown Cemetery with Mark Starnes officating. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1:30pm Friday at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton to go in procession to the cemetery. It's not the destination, it's all about the journey, as Kathy would say. Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of the arrangements.
