Kelan Jack Travis passed away July 5, 2020 at Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, TN due to a drowning accident. He would have turned 2 on August 13.\n \nKelan loved dogs and had a smile that would light up a room.\n \nHe is survived by his mother, Brooke Travis; father and bonus mom: Codey and Cortney Lawson; brother and sisters: Kylee Espinosa, Kason Travis, Colton Lawson, Caden Lawson, Christian Lawson, Cynslee Lawson, and Camden Lawson; grandparents: Mickey and Karen Travis, Barbara Hinkle, Lisa “Nana” Hughes, Joann and Clyde Smelcer, Jerry Wilkerson, Crystal Marshall, Patsy Anderson, Paul White, and Sharon Kovalcsik; Great Grandmother Joann Collins; aunt and uncles: Brittaney Travis, Katlyn Hughes, Chloey Marshall, Casey and Jeremiah Lawson, Tyler Hughes, Tommy Lawson, Summer Inman, and Michelle and Jay Paul Cooter, Brittney Wallin, and Robert Smelcer; several cousins and extended family including a special uncle, Billy Johnson.\n \nHe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chris Marshall; grandmother, Tammy Travis; great-grandfathers: Max Hinkle, and Jimmy Collins.\nThe family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hawkins County Hospital, The Knoxville Children's Hospital, and Sarah Elizabeth Courtney.\nThe family will receive friends Friday, July 10, 2020 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, at 2PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Abel Carrico officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Codey Lawson, Mickey Travis, Mike Inman, and Kelly Frizzellee.
