Greeneville, Tennessee
Kenny was a strong and funny man, always ready to bring laughter to those around him. He was a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, uncle, father-in-law, and friend to many. As a devoted papaw, he cherished every moment with his grandbabies, sharing wisdom and laughter in equal measure.
He had a deep passion for concrete work, a trade he dedicated his life to, always taking pride in the results of his hard work. Beyond his work, he loved fixing up older cars, finding joy in restoring them to their former glory.
Hunting and fishing were also among his greatest loves, where he found peace and contentment in nature’s quiet moments. Whether it was a successful day in the woods or just sitting by the water, those moments brought him happiness.
Above all, Kenny’s love for his family was endless. He was always there with a helping hand or a good joke to lift someone’s spirits. His warmth, kindness, and laughter will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace, knowing he was truly loved and had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Rebecca Ward, daughter Ashley and TJ Ricker, daughter Miranda and Taran Hurst, son Josh and Shelby Ward, grandchildren Jaylynn, Zoey, and Brenley Ricker, Blakley and Tayden "Tuff" Hurst, sister and brother-in-law Tina Collins and Daniel Cutshall, several nieces and nephews including Ambria Collins-Lane and James, Emily Collins, Lachista and Cody Blazer, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne Ward and Pat Ward, twin children, father-in-law and mother-in-law Coy and Michelle Bailey.
There will be a celebration of life service at 5pm Thursday March 27, 2025 at Community Baptist Church in Bulls Gap. Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home for the family.
