Kitty Vest Neece, 74, of Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.\n \nShe is survived by her husband: Jim Neece; 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law: Leslie Vest of Johnson City, Renee and Jeff Smith of Greeneville, Angie and Mike Blaylock of Chuckey, and Vicki and Tim Tweed of Limestone; 1 son and daughter-in-law: Jamie and Jaime Vest; step-son: Brian Neece; 11 grandchildren: Brittney Brown, Ashley Kinley, Cody Smith, Elizabeth Gray, Gracie Blaylock, Shannon Smelcer, Weston Vest, Kaylee Vest, Dalton Vest, Tori Tweed, Marlee Tweed, Taylor Neece, Cadie Neece, Emily Neece; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.\n \nShe was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Vest; parents: Paul and Naomi Humphries; step-son: Brandon Neece; sister: Linda Decker. \n \nKitty’s family was her life. She was a member of Telford UM Church. She had a strong faith and loved the Lord. \n \nShe loved going to the beach and Gatlinburg.\n \nThe family will receive friends Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7PM in the funeral home chapel. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home Wednesday at 10AM to go in procession to Philadelphia Cemetery for the 11AM graveside service. Pallbearers will be Mark Cutshall, Perry Cutshall, Tim Tweed, Jeff Smith, Aaron Eatmon, and Travis Moore.
