Larry Irving Crum age 73 of The Lost Mountain Community passed away Thursday October 26, 2023 at his home. He attended New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran. He worked at Ball Zinc and then later Holston Defense. On June 6, 2002 he received a second chance at life after a double lung transplant. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Vanderbilt lung transplant team. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Brenda Starnes Crum, 3 daughters and sons-in-law Lori and Nathan Reynolds, Michele and Dale Keffer, and Susan Crum, grandchildren Luke Reynolds, Kyle and Kyla Reynolds, Micah Keffer, Kylie Keffer, Lauren Keffer, Maria Justice, 2 sisters Billie Ann Carter and Carolyn Hembree, nieces and nephews Christa and David Noe, Brandon and Jessica Carter, Chris Winters, 3 great nephews Gavin Noe, Landon Noe, Logan Carter, aunt Betty Davis, special friends the Greenlee family. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Irving and Eva Ruth Crum and a infant sister Linda Ruth Crum. There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday October 28, 2023 at 4pm at New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Reynolds officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church missions fund, 10150 Horton Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37745. Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service are in charge of the arrangements.
