Larry Paul Garber, 67, of Chuckey, passed away Tuesday evening, May 21, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center, with his family by his side.\n \nLarry was born November 9, 1951. He graduated from North Greene High School in 1969. He was employed with TRW before becoming self-employed in the construction and home repair business for most of his life. He also worked with Carl Garber, Realtors-Appraisals during the 1990s.\n \nHe was preceded in death by his father and mother: Lee A. Garber, Sr., and Mary Pauline Voiles Garber; son: Aaron Paul Garber; nephew: Michael Garber. \n \nHe is survived by his wife: Pat Armstrong; son: Andrew L. Garber; grandson: Kole Garber and his mother; Mindy Greene; sister: Portia E. Garber Reynolds (Hobert); brothers: Lee A. Garber, Jr., (Kim), Carl E. Garber (Trish); aunt: Mary Alice Garber Dotson; nephews: Chad Garber (Ashley), Nathan Peek; nieces: Pam Stapleton (Allen), Carla Todaro (Paul), and Kendra Lusk; several cousins; special friend: Roger Johnson; sisters-in-law: Emily Armstrong, and Marie Lingerfelt (Wayne); other survivors include Ryan Braddy. \n \nLarry was a loving husband, father, and brother. He loved music and backyard cookouts. He loved being with this family and restoring antique automobiles. We will miss him dearly but have comfort knowing he is now living with his Heavenly family.\n \nThe family will receive friends Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
