Marion "Sonny" Higgins, Jr. Obituary (1930

Marion “Sonny” Higgins, Jr., passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Signature Health Care of Greeneville. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Jimmy and Louise Higgins of Greeneville; sister: Charlotte Wilson of Greeneville; 3 grandchildren: Billy and Sarah Palczak, Joey Shcmidt, and Chastity and Scott Hatch; 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife: Ruth Crum Higgins; his parents: Marion and Ollie Higgins; 2 daughters; Charlene Melton, and Caroline Schmidt; sister: Nellie Hensley; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Signature Health Care of Greeneville. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 4-7PM at Jeffers Funeral Service Downtown. The funeral service will follow visitation at 7PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton and Rev. Harley Green officiating. The graveside service will be held Monday, at 2PM at Greenelawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Chris Higgins, Jeff Wilson, Dylan Dean, Billy Palczak, Scott Hatch, and Buddy Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Schmidt, Robert Atkins, Doug Duff, Warren Shelton.
