Mary Lorene Kirk Bible, age 86, passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Greeneville on April 30, 2023.\n\nShe was the daughter of the late Henry and Syble Kirk of Mosheim. She attended the old Orebank Schoolhouse in the 1940's. She married Robert "Bobby" Bible in 1953. She was a farmer's wife most of her life and later worked at Laughlin Memorial Hospital alongside her special friend and aunt Kate Kirk. She attended Jackson's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Mosheim, where she enjoyed church fellowship and the teachings of Christine Knight. She was an avid reader and frequented the Greeneville Library in her early years. She was loved by family, friends, and neighbors and will be missed by all.\n\nShe is survived by a son and daughter in law: Daryl and Gwen Bible of Midway; daughters Lynn Swecker of Lincolnton, NC and Karen and Rocky Pendarvis of Concord, NC; Grandchildren Shane (Jennifer) Seay of Bagdad, KY, Lindsay (Matt) Bledsoe of Jonesborough TN, Nathan (Laura) House of Centerton AR, Stefan (Chelsea) Swecker of Henderson KY, Matthew (Rebecca) Bible of Mosheim, Chase Bible and fiance Brittany of Greeneville, 12 Great Grandchildren, Brother and sisters in law Wallace and Phyllis Kirk of Mosheim, Lillian Kirk of Mosheim, and Nancy Kirk of Morristown, Aunt Edith Henry, special cousin Carolyn Gammons several nieces and nephews\n\nShe is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Robert "Bobby" Bible and Brothers Avery Kirk and Hal Kirk\n\nThe family will receive friends Friday from 4-7 PM at Jeffers Funeral Service downtown. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donnie Bible officiating. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 AM in Jackson Chapel Cemetery. Her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
