Marylin Elizabeth Badenhope passed away peacefully on October 14th in Dublin Ohio. \n\nShe was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Badenhope, and is survived by her children Barbara Badenhope, Maribeth Wilder, John Badenhope, Julia Badenhope and Heidi Ross; as well as 12 grandchildren, Kathleen Kurdys, Jan Christian Hvistendahl, Robert Julian Hvistendahl, Joy Schuette and husband Tommy, Brian Grimes, Jon Paul Johnson and wife Summer, Jessica Wilder, Jeb Stuart Wilder, Alban Fisher, Alexander Gahre, Emily Ross, and Andrew Ross. She was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. \n\nThe eldest child of Katherine and Clarence Eckhart, she was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 28, 1932. She and her younger brother Ron were surrounded by a loving extended family, thriving despite the hardships of the depression, in a house full of music and creativity. Marylin graduated as a registered nurse from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 and soon after married Robert Ira Badenhope, also of Toledo Ohio. Together they raised six children, a multitude of stray animals, and an epic organic garden. Always full of kindness and a sense of humor, Mary sang showtunes to her kids and grandkids, kept the porch light on and the door unlocked, and was the world’s best listener. She imparted to all her love of the Lord and our calling to love and serve one another. Beside her front door, she displayed Joshua 24:15 “But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”And so we do and shall, in her honor.\n\nThe family will have a Gathering of Friends on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton from 2-4PM.\n\nJeffers Funeral and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
