Maxie Dickson

–

Greeneville, Tennessee

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother Maxie Easterly Dickson who went on to be with the Lord on September 10th, 2026, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life that was truly extraordinary—a life lived with beauty, strength, and grace. Maxie was a force of nature—unyielding, loving, and unforgettable.

She was born on August 15th, 1951, to the late Ernest and Emma Ruth Easterly, and grew up with six siblings whom she loved immensely. A proud graduate of Greeneville High School, class of 1969, Maxie went on to serve her community with dedication as a Claims Representative for the Social Security Administration for over 20 years.

On June 14th, 1980, she married the love of her life, David E. Dickson. Together they shared 46 beautiful years of marriage, building a home filled with love, faith, and laughter, and raising two daughters who were the light of her life.

Maxie was a loving family member and a loyal friend. She was a faithful and active member of her church home, and her heart for young people was boundless. From leading the youth choir to chaperoning school trips and band camps, she gave of herself freely. Her warmth and magnetic personality won the hearts of everyone she met. To know Maxie was to love her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, David E. Dickson; her daughters, Sheree Dickson Beidleman (son-in-law Marvin Beidleman) and Shauna Davida Dickson Muse (son-in-law Devon C. Muse); her precious grandson, Ezra David Beidleman; and her beloved siblings, Ernest Easterly, Jr. Ronetta Inge, Tommy Easterly, Clarence Easterly, and Margaret Forby.

She now joins in eternal rest her parents, Ernest Easterly, Sr. and Emma Ruth Easterly, and her sister, Wanda Jean Reese, who preceded her in death.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing Maxie lived a life of purpose, a life of service, and a life of deep, abiding love for her family, her faith, and her community. Her legacy lives on in the family and friends she loved so dearly, every child she encouraged, and every person she embraced.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 12:00 pm at Jeffers Funeral Home at 208 N College St, Greeneville, TN 37745.
