Monte Trentham

Monte Earl Trentham age 78 of Greeneville, passed away September 21,2026 peacefully at his home.

Mr. Trentham served in the United States Airforce, also he was a retired farmer and truck driver.

He is survived by the love of his life of forty-six years, Jane Ragsdale Trentham; one son and daughter-law, Justin and Tara Trentham; two daughters, Kelley and Greg Deyton, and Kerry and Randy Rice; grandchildren, Heidi Trentham, Quentin Trentham, Collin and Jacklyn Rice, Gavin Rice, Hope and Judson Higgins, and Faith Rice (Keith). Special cousin Bart Parker. His beloved four-legged friend who never left his side, Sadie.

Preceded in death by his parents; Emory and Elizabeth Trentham.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice, special nurses Angie and Karen. His friends at Dollar General on the Baileyton highway.

The family will receive friends Thursday 5-7 pm at Jeffers Funeral Service at Afton. The graveside will be Friday at 10 am in Ragsdale Family Cemetery with the Greene County Honor Guard conducting military honors and Pastor Ken Jenkins officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris McGuire, Bart Parker, Quentin Trentham, Collin Rice, Gavin Rice, Judson Higgins, and Keith Edison. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.
