Patsy Cruey

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Patsy Cruey of Greeneville who passed away Wednesday January 17, 2024 at the age of 77 years. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family. Patsy was a kind hearted, strong, independent, and spirited woman. She was joyfully devoted to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by many.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters Alice (Eric) Fugate; Christy Cruey (Justino Cedillo); son Michael (Kim) Cruey; grandchildren, April Cruey (Gabriel Ortiz), Jessica King, Heather Cruey (Terri Early), Katrina Fanning, Kendra Cruey, Antonio Medina-Cruey, Anjelina Cruey; great-granddaughter, Haedyn Fanning; sisters Mary Seaton, Pearl (Russel) Clark; Janie (Kenny) Murr; brothers, William (Barbara) Smelcer, David Smelcer; a chosen grandson Kenneth Mathes ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by parents, Johnny and Lucy Kate Smelcer; her husband of 59 years, James Edward Cruey; son James Edward Cruey Jr.; daughter Becky Cruey; sisters Linnie Smelcer Burns, Joyce Lane; brother Jimmy Smelcer. The family will receive friends and family on Saturday January 27, 2024 at Jeffers funeral services downtown from 1-3 PM. The memorial service will follow at 3 PM with Reverend Danny Ricker officiating.
